26. Doorman Duties
I was working as a doorman when I was invited to be a stand-in dancer for a bridal party. I declined since I had a girlfriend... evidently the incorrect response. They continued to yell at me and try to push me when they passed by for the remainder of the night. It was a strange situation. “You wouldn't get on this?” they asked the bride as she was brought out. “No, I love my girlfriend,” I said. It was just an odd, odd night.
