42. Beth's mom took the party too far
It happened almost 10 years ago. A friend from high school got married in the middle of our senior year of college. The party was at the house of a friend's parents - her name is Beth. Her mother is trendy and macabrely involved in her daughter's social life. Beth's parents graciously promised that they would be out overnight so the girls could have some fun. We saw a male dancer arriving late one evening, and he drank a lot of alcohol. What followed was a dance performance, silly music, a ridiculous sequence. And during walks, Beth's mom (without Beth's dad) tries to go and pretend she's been invited to come along.
We caught her drinking with a dancer. The dancer suddenly informed us that he could do a "private inner ring" in an upstairs bedroom for an additional fee if anyone were interested. Just then, Beth's mother said, "You have a pick right here!" She took his hand and led him upstairs. Ten minutes later, we started to hear groans, and the bed was shaking. We made an excuse to leave Beth's house and go to a bar to end the night. Beth stayed at home, ostensibly to cheer her mother up. Yikes.
