19. It's Difficult to Keep the Van Clean
When you live in a van, there is no mudroom or entrance. Your living space is the entrance, and there's nowhere else to go. It means mud shoes, sandy feet, hair, or anything else is always spilling on your small floor. You will have to clean continuously. If you're carrying a dog, that means you have to clean up the extra shag and the mess it causes.
Many people think that a small space is easier to clean than a house. But when you live in a van, you are forced to clean continuously. For example, you cannot leave dirty dishes in the sink, because when you drive, your things must be protected and locked into the cupboard. Otherwise, it may fall apart while moving. And many things require you to clean up right away.
