Her modeling career began unexpectedly at the age of 17. When an agent from Elite Model Management discovered her at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.
By the age of 22, Selita achieved the prestigious title of Victoria's Secret Angel in 2005. Marking the start of a successful runway career with the brand. She graced the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show stage six times, concluding her tenure in 2010. By 2008, Selita had risen to become the 12th highest-paid model globally.
