Nestled amid the lush hills of Rangamati, Kaptai Lake is an artificial reservoir that holds the secrets of a submerged village beneath its depths. The construction of the Kaptai Dam in the 1960s led to the lake's creation, submerging several villages.
On rare occasions when the water level recedes, remnants of the submerged village resurface, offering a poignant reminder of the past.
