R.I.P.

Encountering a deceased animal on the road or by the roadside often evokes a sense of sadness. This raccoon was left on the sidewalk in downtown Toronto for over half a day, prompting the city's residents to construct a makeshift memorial.

People lit candles, left notes around the carcass, and even framed a picture of the raccoon, giving it a name. Eventually, the city came and removed it, but in true Canadian fashion, the people acted with compassion and what they deemed as the right thing to do.
