A Legitimate Excuse
Few things are more disappointing than receiving an email notification that a delivery has been made, only to return home and discover a notice claiming that the item couldn't be delivered. It's frustrating. However, if you read that a bear was blocking the way, perhaps you could forgive the delivery person a bit.
There aren't many places other than Canada where such an excuse would be acceptable. Then again, maybe the bear serves as some form of security system. If that's the case, it certainly did its job!
