Remember Slender Man?
"At this point, there have been games and movies about Slender Man. The figure actually came from an internet competition—a Photoshop challenge, to be exact. The competition was held on the Something Awful forum, and the prompt was to create something supernatural.
It's an understatement to say that the concept took off from there. It went from an image to a game, and now there's even a movie titled Slender Man, plus a documentary named Beware the Slenderman.
