Cable Hangers
This is definitely a 21st-century kind of issue, but cables strewn haphazardly about the floor are a pretty recurring thing in our modern technology-centered lives. Luckily, there's an easy and low-tech solution to keeping them within arm's reach.
Just use binder clips! Connect as many clips as you need to the edge of your workstation. Then, thread your various cables through the handle loops of each clip. This way, even when you're done using the cable, it's not going anywhere near the floor.
