Back on the Athletic Track
In 2019, Schmidt returned to the German national team for a second time as an under-23 athlete representing her country in the European Athletics Championships.
She and her teammates, including Nelly Schmidt, Corinna Schwab, and Luna Bulmahn, traveled to Galve, Sweden, where the tournament occurred. Schmidt felt that all eyes were on her at the championship, but not necessarily for the reasons she desired.
