35. A Pancake Batter Dispenser with a Make-Shift Mode

Everyone enjoys a nice pancake, but getting the batter into the pan can be a nightmare! So what would we do to stop this? You've probably seen the home hack of pouring the batter into the pan with an empty ketchup bottle. Is it effective? We regret to inform you that it would be a waste of time, and you will be better off using a spoon and cleaning up the mess afterward. Ketchup bottles are great for putting ketchup on your hamburger or hotdog, just not for pancakes – we'll explain why.

The first part of the problem is trying to get the batter into the bottle. That is one of the worst parts, and you'll make an enormous mess trying this. If you have a small funnel at home, you might have better luck, but not all of us have one of those lying around to use for this. After you've done that, it's time to dispense the batter. It only makes a small stream of batter, so getting a decent-sized pancake takes a long time. By the time you reach the scale right, you'll probably burn it. Even if you haven't properly cleaned the bottle, it can taste like ketchup.
