18. Newspapers for Odor Absorption
According to legend, if you wrap your products in the newspaper, your refrigerator will continue to smell fresh. No one knows where this notion originated, but it is pure legend. Putting newspaper in your fridge will not eliminate odors.
You'll have a lot of ink bleeding all over your fridge shelves once the paper gets wet. Why make cleaning up even more difficult for yourself? Instead, store your food in Ziploc bags or airtight containers to keep it fresh, and your fridge was looking great. What can you do with newspapers in your home? Next time you need to clean your windows, go out and buy a newspaper (you can't use one from the internet for this) and go to work. The results will astound you, and you'll never go back to using a paper towel again.
