Final Fight for Survival
It later came to light that Timothy Evans had the intellectual capacity of a 12-year-old, a factor that did not bode well for his case. Nonetheless, his defense team appealed against the conviction, presenting their case to judges, including the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Goddard, Mr. Justice Sellers, and Mr. Justice Humphreys.
The appeal raised crucial points, notably the omission of critical evidence during the trial. Despite these efforts, they were insufficient to save Timothy Evans's life, and he was executed at Pentonville Prison on March 9, 1950. Tragically, Timothy never witnessed the profound impact his death would have on society.
