Who Was Timothy Evans?
Born in Merthyr in November 1924, Timothy Evans faced a challenging start in life, marked by a deformed foot and abandonment by his father during his mother's pregnancy. Raised by a single mother, he experienced a childhood marred by limited access to education and developmental delays.
Timothy and his family relocated to London in 1935, where he found employment as a painter and van driver. His life took a tragic turn when he was falsely accused and wrongly convicted of the murder of his wife and daughter in the infamous Rillington Place, Notting Hill.
