"Memorial Drinking Fountains
If you've spent enough time strolling the streets of Turkey, you've likely encountered drinking fountains, much like the one pictured here. However, what might escape your notice is that many of these fountains are tributes to deceased family members.
Typically, above the spout, you'll find a plaque inscribed with the name and surname of the departed in Turkish. Those who use these fountains are expected to pray for the deceased's soul.
