Sand? Really?
Two French tourists faced time in prison after they attempted to bring a whopping 90 pounds of sand home from the island of Sardinia in Italy. According to environmental scientists, tourists taking sand home is one of the two most dangerous threats to Sardinia's beaches.
The other is erosion, which, thankfully, has nothing to do with humans. The Francs filled 14 plastic bottles with sand and tried to take them home — obviously, they were caught.
