'Backpacking' is a phenomenon that has become far more common recently, and it really, really should not be. If you're not familiar with the term, it refers to people who travel to different countries with little to no money and then beg the locals for money to fund their further travels.
It's completely disrespectful to anyone who calls that country their home and is just an unwise decision overall. Plus, at some popular destinations, you can just work for a few weeks at a local business and make some money that way.
