6. Collections
We have assumed that most Japanese homes are very minimalist, but not always. For example, young people who live in their first apartment will also have bookshelves overflowing with their collections, whether they are manga (comics) or action figures. The word "Otaku" means "Nerd," but it's a little more than that. It means someone who is a big fan of something, and they see it as a big part of their lives. If you can take some style advice away from this, it may be that you can show something that you are passionate about. If it comes in the form of posters, books, or trophies, do not be afraid to share things you enjoy.
