Many Japanese homes don't have central heating or use a space heater that may not fill an entire room. So in winter, the heated tables called kotatsu are very trendy. Certain individuals also prefer to sleep under these covers. If you want to purchase a kotatsu in the US, it cost a couple of hundred bucks. If you're trying to have a true commodity, they will even need to be shipped.
