6. Kentuck Knob
Built in Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania, in 1953 on the spacious Chestnut Ridge, the place was also known as Hagan House. The mansion was one of Wright's final completed homes. At the age of 86, he designed this resident while working at the Guggenheim Museum (New York) and the Beth Sholom Synagogue (Elkins Park, Pennsylvania). He only visited the property of the house once during the construction phase.
Featuring a copper roof and a crescent shape, Kentuck Knob was made of various unique materials such as glass, native sandstone, and tidewater cypress. The design is anchored by hexagonal pillars connecting the living room and bedroom wings. Currently, this house is owned by a British lord, and open for public visitors.
