27. Meyer May House
The Meyer May House, considered Michigan's Prairie masterpiece, was built in Grand Rapids in 1908. Another excellent example of the Prairie School style of Frank Lloyd Wright is this house. It was made to enable plenty of natural light through expansive windows and skylights to stream into the living room. It has plenty of space for terraces, planters, and perennial gardens as well. In 1922, adding additional bedrooms to the second floor and including downstairs servants' quarters.
The Meyer May House has the name on the Michigan State Register of Historic Sites and part of the National Historic Places Register since the 1980s. This lovely property is open to the public for tours.
