24. Westhope
Also known as the Richard Lloyd Jones Building, after his cousin Richard Lloyd Jones, the Tulsa Tribune publisher, Wright designed this home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1929. In the Prairie Theme, the 10,000 square foot home was planned and is just one of three Frank Lloyd Wright homes constructed in Oklahoma.
With its striking glass and concrete exterior, Westhope is distinct. The look of the home baffled many townspeople, buying Wright was immensely proud of his design and found it "even more beautiful than he had imagined." Westhope has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since April 1975.
