11. Wings bread
Also known as the Herbert F. Johnson House, the Wingspread is widely recognized as the most elaborate and expensive houses by Frank Lloyd Wright. As a National Landmark in 1989, the property is currently used as a convention center by The Johnson Foundation. Wright built this house in Wind Point, Wisconsin, on 12-acre landscaped grounds to simulate the grassland landscape.
Wingspread has a center hub that has four arms radiating from it. The components are designated for different functions, such as the parental wing, service wing, guest wing, and children's wing. Its center is a domed structure with an observation platform above. This iconic home is known to be one of Wright's final Prairie School-inspired designs.
