10. Martin House Complex
Wright was built and constructed between 1903 and 1905; the Darwin D. Martin Haus Complex is situated in Buffalo, New York. This home is considered one of the essential structures of the Prairie School of Wright by many. Experts agree that the Martin House Complex was Wright's most influential design during the first half of his career. Wright himself calls this house his "opus."
The architect has designed fifteen models for 394 art-glass windows to act as shading and connect the outdoor landscape to the interior ones. This is the most artistic glass ever designed for any of Wright's Prairie Houses. Also crucial to the house's architectural design is a semicircular garden consisting of various plants designed to bloom during different growing seasons.
