21. Rent or Buy a Tent

Renting a tent is probably not a bad idea if you have a backyard wedding. But it has a weak point is the weather. If it rains on your wedding day or it gets too hot, your guests need a place to hide in the shade. If you search for large wedding tents online, you'll find that they range in price from $100 to $500, depending on the size. Notably, for anyone who hosts annual backyard parties for their family and friends, investing in something like this makes a lot of sense. You can save it in your garage or shed and take it out year after year.

The weakness of a large tent is that you have to assemble it yourself or ask family and friends the day before. If you buy a tent through a rental company, it includes assembly services. They will also take the tent down and store it in their storage when the wedding is over. If you live with friends in an apartment or borrow someone's house for a wedding, renting a tent may be the only option. The materials of these rental tents will be of higher quality, so you can rest assured that you are getting what you pay for.
