At the top of this list, we talked about gardening linked to a reduced risk of a heart attack. It can also help reduce your risk of stroke. If a stroke happens in your family, consider gardening as a non-medicinal preventive measure. You may see some of the same benefits by walking every day. However, gardening has many other benefits beyond being physically active, all of which come together to help prevent stroke.

You will still benefit from gardening, whether you or a loved one has suffered a stroke in the past.
