Trouble falling asleep? There are several explanations why, including drinking so much coffee, you can miss sleep. But gardening can help you sleep more deeply at night. We've mentioned how gardening can reduce stress, and you can have less of what makes you more alert. Gardening is like a form of meditation almost. You can allow yourself to process your emotions, and when it is time to sleep, you can clear your mind.

Best of all, gardening is a form of exercise. If you spend time outside gardening, you may be physically exhausted. Instead of going to bed after feeling tired, some people push themselves to sleep simply because they have to be awake the next day at the same time.
