Snow White — Based on Marge Champion

In 1937, when "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" became Disney's first animated film, it also introduced the world to Disney's first princess, Snow White. At just 14 years old, Marge Champion was selected for the lead role due to her exceptional dancing abilities and prestigious background.

The producers were keen on finding a girl who could physically act out scenes to lend authenticity to the animation, and they believed that Champion's upbringing in an upper-class family would imbue her with the grace befitting a princess.
