8. The Four-Box Method
You can try the four-box method. Here, you have to take four boxes and name them. They are Keep, Trash, Give Away, and Re-Locate. You start cleaning up each area. In each region, place each item in the suitable boxes.
Never skip any item, even if you think it is insignificant. The whole process is fairly long and can take several days or even months. Don't give up because this process will help you recognize what items you own and what to do with each of them.
