9. An Icy Failed Vacation

"Had a guy who was trying to elude the cops. He decided to climb aboard a block of ice that was slithering down the river. I'm sure he thought he was brilliant at the time, but the problem is that there isn't much north of our town for a few hundred miles, so his long-term planning was inadequate. We eventually discovered him, suffering from cold, hidden in a little icy overhang on the river's bank. He was arrested after a brief stay in the hospital."

Wow, that was a blunder. Perhaps he thought the escape plan was a good idea at the time. Hypothermia, on the other hand, can only take you so far.
