The analogy of Christmas is easy to understand, but some people don't understand why it's not trendy to leave other seasonal items for so long.
For example, if you do not live near the ocean, it would not make sense to decorate marine-themed decorations outside of the summer. Another common mistake is that someone can have a fake bouquet that usually blooms in the spring, but they keep the vase in place all year.
