18. Don't Let The Kids Overrun the House

Children are always a blessing. However, it doesn't mean you should let things loose just because they want to. As a child, our parents always have a set of rules for us to follow. In some cases, it could be that we have to put our things away after playtime, or never leave any toys or stuff scatter around the house. Now that you have children, make sure to apply these rules to them.

Take a look around your home and ask yourself if your kids are taking up your space. Remember that you can love your baby unconditionally, but you also want your own space. Set some basic rules about where to keep toys. Consider placing your child's belongings in their designated playroom or bedroom. This is not "malicious" or "harsh" either. This will teach your child to learn the importance of cleaning up after they get out of the house. Besides, they will learn the importance of discipline from an early age.
