25. Antiques
Among trendy individuals and interior designers, one of the everyday habits is that they invest in vintage and antique items. It is hard for you to find everything you want to suit your aesthetic when everything is brand new. It also pigeons you in a box where you have to be like anyone else in your house. So by going to an antique store, flea market, eBay, or Etsy, instead of this year, you're opening up the possibilities of discovering items from the past couple of hundred years' newest trends.
Another significant advantage of buying antiques is that valuable items can be found. An article from the shop would only be as good at the ticket price as what you paid for it. But you could buy a rare antique at a flea market for $5, and you could resell it later at an auction or on eBay for $100. In the past, before I became a full-time blogger, I did this for a living. So I can testify to the fact that there are great, precious, beautiful items waiting outside. So I will attest to the fact that there are perfect, lovely, beautiful things out there waiting for your home to be found.
