9.Lavender
Lavender is admired for both its delicate silvery stalks with clusters of purple flowers and its rich fragrance in many traditional French and English gardens. The hardiest lavender will survive the winter in most parts of the United States, making it an excellent border plant for high-traffic areas.
Imagine being able to walk around your patio or deck and running your hand through a stand of fragrant lavender! The dried flowers are also fantastic for crafts, cooking, and arts and crafts. After all, who doesn't like a little lavender?
