8.Bee Balm

Bee Balm, as its name implies, is a fantastic addition to any pollinator garden. Bees, on the other hand, are a welcome sight to a proper gardener. Bee Balm, a member of the mint family, is native to North America and has provided food for our pollinators for centuries.

The red, pink or purple tubular flowers resemble thistle heads and emerge in an upright, bushy growth habit. Bee Balm leaves are used as a seasoning for the wild game by Native Americans, and the flavor is similar to a bitter mix of peppermint and oregano.
