5.Coneflowers
Coneflowers are classified into many genera, the most common of which are Rudbeckia and Echinacea. Many people are familiar with Echinacea, the lovely purple coneflower often used in cold-fighting herbal remedies in the winter.
Coneflowers are drought-tolerant flowers that can tolerate a lot of heat and sun in general. They're simple to collect seeds from, making them an excellent seed-starting project for the winter months. The Black Eyed Susans are a particular example on this list.
