Taylor encountered Hollywood heartthrob Lucas Till during their shared involvement in "Hannah Montana: The Movie." In the film, Lucas assumed the role of Miley Cyrus's romantic interest, while Taylor made a cameo appearance and performed her song "Crazier." Their romantic involvement occurred during the movie's April to May 2009 shooting. Eventually, they realized that their compatibility was better suited for a friendship.
During that period, Lucas commented, "We both genuinely liked each other... [but] relationships usually thrive on a cycle of harmony, discord, and reconciliation, driven by passion." However, this particular romance lacked the intensity of passion.
