They revealed that prior to this incident, they diligently applied sunscreen and even reapplied it at regular intervals, approximately every half-hour to 45 minutes.
Surprisingly, despite their efforts, the sunscreen failed to provide the expected protection. As a result, they suffered not only from the visible discomfort of severe sunburn but also endured second-degree burns from their sun exposure.
