Live shows require meticulous preparation and skillful execution. Similar to any other live performance, expecting a band to spontaneously improvise for an extended period is a formidable task. However, in 2006, Stornoway faced the ultimate challenge when they were unexpectedly left as the sole performing band, despite originally being one of three scheduled acts. Despite the unforeseen circumstances, the band persevered and went to great lengths to ensure that the experience was worthwhile, especially considering their efforts to convince Tim Bearder to join them on stage.
