Felicity Huffman, renowned for her role in Desperate Housewives, was also embroiled in the nationwide college admissions scandal. She faced serious consequences for her involvement in the fraudulent scheme, and there were suspicions about her husband, William H. Macy.
In 2019, Huffman was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit fraud. She admitted to paying someone to take her daughter's SAT exam to improve her daughter's chances of getting into college. Due to her actions, Huffman pleaded guilty and received a 14-day prison sentence and other associated penalties.
