Many large corporations may donate their excess inventory to a thrift store so that they can deduct it as a charity donation on their taxes. My local Target, for example, donates their clearance items to Goodwill. In addition, a weekly delivery of brand new Tempur-Pedic mattresses arrives at my local privately-owned thrift shop. As a result, you can buy brand new name brand things for a fraction of the price you would have paid otherwise.

Remember that many remaining items are reduced to 90% off Target before making their way to a thrift shop. As a result, you'll see many unattractive designs or items in sizes 00 and XXS. Holiday items after Christmas or Halloween, on the other hand, are some of the best bargains.
