26. Lie on a high-quality bar stool
Bar stools are complicated for many reasons. You should pay to buy a higher quality stool as that means you can enjoy your island more often. If you've never had a kitchen island before, you might think you don't need to spend a lot of money on bar stools. After all, it seems pretty simple, and there are a lot of cheap options available. However, if you plan to sit down on your island on a laptop or even eat a meal, they need to be comfortable and settled. Many stools look stylish, but they will wobble and become unstable when you sit down. Or, they can be made of wood and as solid as a rock. Lots of stools also don't support your back and can cause a lot of discomfort and pain.
Also, be sure to measure the height of the kitchen island before buying a bar stool. Make a note of your size and check if the seat is adjustable. For example, my brother bought a used chair on Facebook Marketplace for a reasonable price. He is over 6 meters tall and can comfortably sit down and eat his food. However, I'm so short that my feet can't touch the ground. This is a chair with a seat hung on a long pillar. So there was no way for me to get in and out of my chair.
