27. Savings when throwing pillows and blankets
We mentioned buying a high-quality couch is a great place to splash money. But throw pillows and blankets. The worrying thing about throwing pillows and blankets away is that they tend to break, tear, and stain after a few years. After taking a nap, watching movies, and cuddling up night after night, these works became famous. An expensive blanket doesn't always last longer than an inexpensive blanket. They may also be more trendy, and the style may not be suitable for future home décor.
With that said, you can sometimes get high-quality second-hand blankets that would typically be very expensive if you bought them new. For example, I grew up using woolen from my grandmother and other relatives who gave them gifts. Most of these blankets are still in my family. I also bought my afghan from a pitch sale that was over 100 years old. They are easy to wash and remove stains and strong enough to withstand many children.
