16. Invest in high-end plumbing fixtures.
If you're planning a bathroom remodel, it's a bright idea to invest in high-quality plumbing fixtures. If you go to Home Depot, you will see many clearance items to choose from them. However, if you buy anything too cheaply, it can break after a few years of use. In the best-case scenario, you'll need to purchase a new fixture to resolve the issue. In the worst-case situation, you'll end up with bathroom flooding and have to call a plumber.
Showerheads, for example, will make a significant difference in your day, whether you know it or not. I spent the majority of my life showering with a very low-cost shower head. However, the difference between a rainfall shower and a regular shower was astounding. The water pressure was higher, we dispersed more water, and the showering experience was fantastic. The showerhead costs about $50 versus $20 for the other. Although the difference isn't significant in terms of money, it significantly impacts the overall experience.
