5. Set your fridge at a temperature
Sometimes people will keep their fridges at high temperatures reducing electricity bills. Others keep their refrigerators to a certain degree of cold without freezing anything inside.
Although you don't want your fridge to freeze, keeping it near freezing is ideal. For example, put it at about 38 or 37 degrees Fahrenheit. This action will not freeze your items, but it will keep them cold enough, so bacteria do not begin to grow. Because of this, you can keep food for a longer time.
