17. Buy dried beans
It can easily buy beans in a can because it seems to work less to make them. However, you can buy dried beans in bulk (always helping you save money) and make them only boil. Of course, you can add some herbs and spices to flavor, but you don't need to worry about that.
Even if you boil too many beans, you can dry them and store them in the freezer. Just pick up some sealed boxes and keep them until you need them again. You're not only getting more for the price, but they're also better and last longer than canned beans.
