Remove the Screws from the Chair

Step 4. Remove the Screws from the Chair

At this point, you could start to have fun, especially if you like to disassemble furniture. It's pretty easy to take a chair apart, especially if it's an older chair where screws keep the seat together. You need to turn over the chair and check for the screws. Gently unscrew them until you find them to start taking the chair apart. Since the screws are tight and may appear stuck, this may be difficult. Do your utmost to make it easy to carry and be as careful as you can to not ruin the wood.

Try a different screwdriver or make sure the driver has an outstanding grip if you have too much trouble extracting the screws. If your fingers slip, the problem might be the grip. You may try to incorporate lubricant, such as WD-40, as well. Give the screws a nice bath, and then try again after a few minutes. Getting a hammer is another tip for releasing stubborn screws. Take a hammer and hit the end of the driver as you turn it, as you try to get the screw out with the screwdriver.
