Have a partner
As the steps indicate, you can complete the project by yourself. Asking someone to help you is not a bad thing. Pulling and tugging on the cloth and making sure you don't short-end the other sides can become a frustration for some people when it comes to the first upholstery project.
You can make one person grab the opposite side with another pair of hands, and you'll all pull at the same time. You will staple the hand as they try to grip the opposite side and repeat the next side's procedure. They don't need to assist you throughout the whole project, but they can be handy for a few minutes or so.
