After leaving Grey's Anatomy, Katherine Heigl starred in several movies, including Life as We Know It, Killers, and One for the Money. She also led the NBC political drama series State of Affairs.
In 2020, Heigl starred in and produced the Netflix series Firefly Lane. She is also active in philanthropy, working with the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation for animal welfare and the American Cancer Society.
