Henry VIII
Henry VIII's legacy is primarily defined by his forceful manipulation of the Church to facilitate his marital pursuits, often with the implication of infidelity. Although he is widely recognized, his daughter, Elizabeth I, is seen as a superior ruler. The disproportionate attention he receives is unwarranted.
Henry VIII's reign was marked by self-centeredness and brutality. His multiple marriages culminated in the beheading of several wives following the annulment of his marriage to Catherine of Spain. While his character suits a cinematic villain, his misogynistic nature should discourage his glorification.
